Fashion
The Fashion Program provides broad training in the fashion industry with specialization in fashion design, fashion illustration, fashion journalism, fashion merchandising, image consulting and theatrical costuming.
The Fashion Design and Merchandising Department at Fullerton College is committed to preparing men and women for employment in the fashion industry. The faculty are trained and credentialed educators who have worked in the industry and maintain professional affiliations.
Program Options
- A.A. Degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Journalism, or Fashion Merchandising
- Certificate in Dressmaking-Alteration, Fashion Design, Advanced Fashion Design, Fashion Illustration, Image Consultant, or Fashion Merchandising
- Classes in your specific areas of interest

Career Opportunities
The program provides students with an understanding of the industry requirements for employment in the fashion design profession and helps them acquire entry-level job skills. In addition to a strong theory based education there is an emphasis on hands-on experience. The program prepares students to enter the fashion field with jobs such as:
- Designers
- Pattern makers
- Custom dressmakers
- CAD fashion designer, CAD grader, CAD pattern maker, or CAD marker maker
- Fashion buyers
- Retail buyers
- Visual display artists
- Fashion Illustrator
- Writers for media and for promotion
