Welding

The Welding Technology Department at Fullerton College is committed to preparing men and women for employment in welding occupations and occupations where welding is required. The program’s instructors are certified by the American Welding Society (AWS) and our state-of-the-art laboratory is registered to conduct testing for L.A. City Structural Welding Certification. Our program provides students with an understanding of the welding industry’s requirements for employment, and helps them to acquire entry-level job skills. In addition to a strong background in theory, hands-on experience is emphasized.

Fullerton College has a complete program with an excellent range of high-tech equipment and instructional emphasis in FCAW, SMAW, GTAW, GMAW, and various cutting processes. We also offer a class in fabrication techniques and another in preparation to become a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI).

Program Options

  • Vocational Certificate in Welding Technology
  • Associate of Science Degree in Manufacturing Technology
  • Classes in your specific areas of interest

The curriculum is flexible and will accommodate students beginning either Fall or Spring semester. Related work experience is encouraged while attending classes. We offer classes in both traditional and accelerated formats.
